SlabScout answers one question about a card: is it worth paying to have it graded? You photograph a card, and the app reads what it is, files it, prices it against the sold comps you enter, measures its centering from the pixels, and tells you how much money you would gain or lose by sending it in.
SlabScout never invents a price. Until you enter the sold comps for a card, it has no basis for a decision and says so rather than guessing.
A card already sealed in a PSA, BGS, SGC or CGC holder has its answer printed on the label. There is no decision to make, so SlabScout prices it and leaves it alone.
If the card was photographed inside a sleeve or one-touch holder, the edges the app can see belong to the plastic, not the card. Rather than report a number it does not trust, it says so. Shoot the card out of the holder for a real reading.
Tap the card and correct any field. The correction sticks.
Settings → Erase everything. It permanently deletes your photos and all of your card data and cannot be undone. Do this before deleting the app — see the privacy policy for why.
No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email address. Your collection is tied to an identifier held on your device, which means it does not currently transfer between devices.
